THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Suva Restaurant Review: Suva, named for the capital of Fiji, where New Zealand-born chef Robert Oliver was raised, is China Grill Managements newly opened project in South Beach; with actress Marisa Tomei as a partner, this clublike restaurant has a Polynesian décor and a bar with a sand-filled trough. Inspired by the islands of the South Pacific and the Caribbean, the fare includes grilled lobster Pago Pago with pepper bisque sauce and curried mashed potatoes, Hulihuli chicken with green banana-calabash casserole and South Seas salsa and a Fijian fishermans stew containing scallops, shrimp and lobster in coconut-curry broth served in a coconut shell. Portions are large and meant to be shared family-style. Vegetarian options are also available. Theres live music on Saturdays.
