| Tacubaya’s hot pink walls will lure you inside, but it’s the crisp, fluffy churros, fresh tortilla soup and grilled corn, along with tacos and tamales, that will have you returning again and again. This friendly, casual spot on Berkeley’s Fourth Street shopping corridor likes to call itself "La Taqueria de Doña Tomás," because it is the slightly funkier, slightly more casual sister restaurant of Oakland’s Doña Tomás. Despite Tacubaya’s relative affordability, the food is made with care and quality ingredients. Reservations aren't accepted, so don't arrive famished on a summertime Saturday afternoon. |
