This spot started off serving lunch, expanded to dinner and now offers breakfast. This is a very good thing because who doesn't like well-prepared food at affordable prices for every meal? The dishes from chef Goran Streng pair quality ingredients (many locally sourced) with local and Scandinavian flavors. For breakfast, try the crab hash eggs Benedict or the classic eggs Florentine. At lunch, diners line up (literally) for a large selection of salads, a lighter than usual French onion soup and Streng's classic Swedish gravlax on Finnish rye bread with Boursin cheese spread and mustard dill sauce. Dinner selections include a creamy Hamakua mushroom risotto with garlic shrimp and a savory bouillabaisse made with fresh island fish, prawns and mussels. Consider one of the two four-course prix-fixe menus at dinner and you'll enjoy a complete meal for $35 (Menu A) or $45 (Menu B). The décor reflects a Scandinavian-modern yet organic simplicity with rustic picnic table seating for larger groups and sleek wood tables for smaller parties.
