The romantic ambience is still present in this incarnation of Steve’s Café Americain. Fine dining also remains only now in the form of worldly-flavored tapas---from chilled ceviche to ripe tomato, basil and cheese topped grilled bread to lime-braised duck covering sweet caramelized plantains. The atmosphere is casual and this global cuisine from chef Stephen Williams will leave you with a tantalizing urge to travel. Service is fine; the sangría made from scratch. What more could you ask for? Try the price: With the majority of offerings under $10, you’ll see both locals and (supposedly) poor students splurging on this table-top traveler’s feast.
