Taqueria Corona Restaurant Review: Taquería Corona has stood the test of time among a number of Mexican restaurants in the city. The fried fish and tongue tacos are hard to beat. Marinated pork, beef, chicken and shrimp are always sizzling on the grills. Combination platters, loaded with frijoles and yellow rice, are a skinflint's delight. For a finish, try the light caramel custard, although the Mexican rice pudding may be calling your name. Ceviche is a Friday and Saturday special. Quaffs include the usual domestic and imported (Mexican) beers, some mixed drinks, sangría and margaritas made with freshly squeezed lime juice. Also located in Metairie and Harahan.
