Little Mexican flags abound in this friendly spot on a shabby Waltham side street. One look around this authentic taqueria tells you it's the real deal; the food clinches it. Trust the waitstaff with your order of crispy flautas stuffed with chicken or lamb, pork and chili nachos or golden taquitos dorados topped with fresh tomatoes, sour cream and melted cheddar. Beer and wine only are served here, so try a Dos Equis with one of the specialty dishes that feature pork mole verde, spicy pollo loco and sliced steak pasilla. Soft, overstuffed burritos can be filled with everything from chorizo, chicken, steamed beef and fried beans to zucchini squash, cheese and mushrooms. Cheap eats include $2 tacos and tostadas and gorditas for under $5. The creamy flan dessert should not be missed. There is also a laundry list of breakfast items --- huevos done every way imaginable accompanied by ham, bacon or sausage along with tasty burritos and tortas.
