Focused on elegant, Barbary Coast-style excess and featuring two full bars, Taverna Aventine's lunch and dinner menu of Cal-Italian bites (the space is named for Rome's Aventine district) may be eclipsed by indulgent details such as the private basement "parlor" of personal liquor lockers for members.
