THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Teatro on Seventh Restaurant Review: Located in a restored brick building originally constructed in 1892, the restaurant occupies space that once stood as a ballroom and theater. The restaurant maintains the ambience with its attention to detail in its décor. The cuisine reflects a variety of cultures, typical of Ybor City’s history. (Also in keeping with the Ybor City tradition, Teatro sells hand-rolled cigars that can be enjoyed on the restaurant’s cocktail and cigar terrace.) The menu also combines the expected Cuban-Latin items with dishes that reach across the globe. Start with the appetizer of tempura portobello slices, with pecorino romano, truffle oil and tomato jam. Then move on to the grilled salmon entrée, served with basmati rice, a grilled vegetable medley and cucumber dill raita. A half-dozen creative desserts are led by the warm chocolate bourbon bread pudding with chocolate sauce.
