| Dine in a courtyard amidst ancient trees hung with candles and twinkling lights, tropical foliage and the chef’s herb garden, or in the wine cellar. The Mexican and Mediterranean cuisine, with a hint of Asian, utilizes organic vegetables that the owners grow at a ranch outside of town. Most entrées are grilled, or prepared in an aromatic wood-burning oven. Try the fresh lobster with pesto sauce or the house special rack of lamb in tamarind sauce. California wines (and Cuban cigars) dominate the cellar, along with a good selection of tequilas. Around the corner and across the plaza you can explore boutiques, art galleries and nightclubs in the heart of San Jose’s Historic and Art Districts. |
