THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES TO THE SILVER TRUMPET. This Wyndham restaurant has one of the best locations for pre- or post-theatre dinner dining or cocktail lounging while visiting the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. A good breakfast buffet is served here in the mornings, so relax outdoors next to a charming lake and fountain. If you are looking for a quick lunch, there’s a pasta and salad bar, although you can also order big bowls of soup and hearty entrée salads. Or, try the burger, steak sandwich, shrimp flatbread or grilled vegetable wrap. At dinner, order up a strong martini or glass of wine and an inventive appetizer like fried Boursin cheese with fig jam and grapes. Mains tend to be more classic, such as pan-seared salmon, oven-roasted duck breast and grilled pork tenderloin. On the weekends, dogs and their human companions hang out on the patio to nuzzle up and nosh on good buffet brunch fare.
