Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar Restaurant Review: You don’t have to wear the brand name clothes to eat here, but it helps, to get in the spirit for the upscale tropical ambience and island-theme cuisine. Dishes reflect Hawaii, Jamaica and Barbados, with signatures like coconut shrimp in papaya-mango chutney, tuna poke napoleon, macadamia-crusted yellowtail snapper, and island shrimp pasta. It’s more civilized than Jimmy Buffet, though the idea can be similarly sweet, with maple syrup-marinated pork chops, piña colada cake, and cocktails just screaming for a paper umbrella. |
