Uno Chicago Grill Restaurant Review: Consistently good deep-dish pies are served up at reasonable prices; we like the Chicago Classic with chunky tomatoes, crumbled sausage, mozzarella and Romano. Try a half pizza on five-grain thin crust for a healthier alternative, or order a chopped power salad with goji berries, grilled chicken, spinach, soy nuts, raisins, red grapes, almonds and fat-free vinaigrette. There is also a good array of half-pound burgers (think cheddar and mushroom, barbecue bacon or black bean veggie) as well as sandwiches, which include chicken pesto and a tasty roasted eggplant, zucchini and caramelized onion topped with fresh mozzarella on focaccia. The wine selection includes red and white sangría available by the glass or pitcher. Weekday lunch specials include all-you-can-eat soup paired with a half sandwich or pizza of the day, all served in 10 minutes or less. If you have a hankering for a sweet ending, try one of the mini sweets: a two-bite taste of an all-American apple pie, chocolate peanut butter cup or macadamia nut white chocolate chunk deep-dish cookie sundae. Full-size desserts include a warm Oreo brownie bowl and bread pudding with salty caramel sauce.
