VegeNation Restaurant Review:
This vegan restaurant works with local small businesses to source its beer, booze, coffee, tea, artisan cheeses and seasonal herbs and cooks with locally grown vegetables obtained from school garden programs, community gardens and freight farms. Menu items include Buffalo cauliflower wings; eggplant stacks with house-made cashew ricotta cheese; black bean hummus with blue corn chips; vegetable paella with exotic rice blend, roasted veggies, baby spinach and harissa; and lemon meringue tart topped with toasted aquafaba. A second location in Downtown Las Vegas at 616 E. Carson Ave. (702-366-8515) is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
