Veggie Grill Restaurant Review: Veggie Grill calls its food wholesome rather than healthy, but this quick service plant-based restaurant is truly vegan. There are absolutely no animal products whatsoever used in meaty-sounding dishes, which include "carne asada," "fried chickin," "grilled chickin" and "steak." It’s all made from wheat and vegetable proteins with a consistency akin to meat products. However, the sandwiches, burgers, wraps and salads here are so good that you may not notice the difference. The burgers and sandwiches are a good place to start for beginners, who will like the accompanying salty sweet potato fries or steamed kale with tangy ginger-miso dressing.
