Versailles Bistro & Patisserie Restaurant Review: This restaurant-pâtisserie serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch covers all the bases when it comes to French fare. The charming and very Gallic-inspired décor of warm wood and gleaming tile floors continues to draw in the well-heeled locals. Many French standards are well-represented and well-executed. Appetizers include pâté de campagne maison and a half-dozen escargots prepared in the classic manner with garlic and parsley butter. Follow them with a grilled rib-eye flavored with pepper sauce or the mussels simmering in broth served with hand-cut fries. Almond, chocolate and pistachio croissants, pain au chocolat, apple turnover and brioche Parisienne, among other choices, are equally satisfying for dessert, at breakfast or with coffee at any time of the day.
