Vinsetta Garage Restaurant Review:

This trendy restaurant is housed in the oldest garage east of the Mississippi. A classic brick and glass exterior is accented with neon signage, for a style best described as “vintage garage chic.” Don’t expect frou-frou food. For appetizers, consider the coal-fired bread sticks or beer-battered cheese curds. Signature pizzas do not disappoint. Dinner could be Otto's Farm half chicken, brined and roasted golden brown, with whole-grain mustard gravy; a slow-smoked rib-eye; or Union Mac with ham, Vermont sharp cheddar, Pinconning cheese and penne in a béchamel sauce with a crunchy Parmesan crust. Desserts include banana pudding topped with a toffee sauce and house-made crushed vanilla wafers, as well as malted molten chocolate cake filled with house-made liquid nitrogen-churned vanilla custard, finished with crushed Cap'n Crunch. Diners who eat gluten-free will find a creative menu: smoked chicken wings; chili-rubbed flank steak. Twenty-two beers are on tap; nice wine and liquor options, too.
