| Vivo's high ceilings, exposed kitchen, and sleek, streamlined furnishings make for one of Hartford's more appealing interiors. From the moment you settle yourself in its midst and open your hefty, copper-encased menu---and glimpse the likewise hefty prices---your expectations will rise. Often they'll be met, especially via subtly evolving staples like the Tuscan-style pizza and the New York strip. And though some of the seasonal creations sound more interesting than they taste, the management here works hard to please. Meanwhile, between the prep work visible in the kitchen and the goings-on on the outdoor patio, there is much to ogle at your leisure. |
