Wild Thyme Deli & Cafe Restaurant Review: In the middle of a strip mall on Reservation Road there’s a little deli churning out big flavors. The house special is an Atlantic City sub with Italian cold cuts and provolone that evokes summer at the seashore for East Coast ex-pats. Or try the tender, juicy, house-brined and -smoked pastrami and corned beef in a panino-style Reuben. Wild Thyme also makes its own pickles and pickled tomatoes, both of which pack a nice crunch. Select from a half-dozen homemade sides, from creamy slaw to potato salad with a tangy sour cream dressing. Everything’s available for take-out, including hot entrées such as meatloaf. For beverages, choose from a small but varied selection of beer and wines, along with an interesting assortment of soft drinks. For dessert, we found the seven-layer bar too sweet for our taste, but the pear-almond bar and Key lime bar both hit all the right notes.
