| A menu of salads, wraps and specialties like Tommy Gunns American Barbecue along with the occasional international wine dinner and a nightly line-up of live music acts makes this University City venue an original. The upstairs café also serves a daily $8 lunch special, and hosts a busy happy hour. To dine downstairs, you’ll need a ticket for the show, an eclectic array of musical guests playing everything from blues to bluegrass. The chef changes the menu nightly, often in keeping with the musical theme. An Israeli salad, dried currant basmati rice and tahini might be on the menu for an Israeli jazz festival, while feijoada, a black bean and pork stew native to Brazil, makes an appearance for Carnival. |
