Adobe El Restaurante Restaurant Review

: Located in the sprawling resort and former equestrian ranch Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, Adobe El Restaurante serves as the main daytime eatery for hotel guests. Enjoy a breakfast of crab cake Benedict with asparagus or biscuits and gravy with short rib hash on the open-air balcony overlooking the gardens. Fresh melon and berries, papaya kiwi smoothies, stuffed brioche french toast and Belgian waffles with sour cherry compote are other gems on the breakfast buffet. Seasonal California fare and seafood characterizes the lunch menu. We recommend the West Coast Lobster Roll with egg salad, bacon and avocado or the mahi mahi fish tacos. Other highlights include the duo of beets with Humboldt goat cheese and arugula, the ahi sliders with wasabi aïoli, and grilled skirt steak with truffle Parmesan fries. In the sweet department, opt for the walnut brownie with dulce de leche mousse or berry cobbler topped with Tahitian vanilla gelato.
