Aria Restaurant & Lounge Restaurant Review:
Located in Upland’s historic downtown district, Aria is owned by Sartaj Singh, whose other Inland Empire eateries include the Magic Lamp Inn, Antonino’s and his family’s Haandi Indian restaurant. Here, a pleasant dining room with polished wood accents is flanked by a lounge, offering two distinct experiences. The menu is predictable SoCal trattoria fare, with starters like caprese salad and fried calamari followed by linguine with smoked salmon in a mascarpone cream, a very respectable lobster ravioli in a Pernod-infused cream sauce, or pizzas. Meats are often bathed in rich sauces and desserts include a good house-made cannoli. A short, mostly California wine list is attractively priced.
