Captain Kidd's Fish Market & Restaurant Restaurant Review:

You can't complain about the service at this funky little fish market and café because there isn't any --- you order and pay at the counter, and when they call your number, your meal will be waiting on a plastic tray. Though it sounds like fast food, the menu is a list of fresh fish that can be prepared grilled, fried or sautéed, and served with a choice of sides. Fish changes daily, often according to the season, with options like red snapper, local halibut and crab, and whole pompano, while sides include mushroom rice pilaf, hush puppies and coleslaw. There are also the requisite seafood shack essentials such as fish ‘n’ chips, a lobster roll and clam chowder --- both red and white. Captain Kidd's is enduringly popular because it's speedy, reasonably cheap and good, and the ramshackle dining room with its weathered wooden tables and posters of exotic fish has charm. The wine selection is surprisingly notable for a place of this caliber, and if you don't mind drinking from a plastic cup you can accompany your meal with a nice beverage.
