A supper club-reminiscent setting and a view from atop Mt. Adams.

The Celestial, Cincinnati, OH

The Celestial Restaurant Review:

The Celestial's setting recollects an old-fashioned supper club. Think cocktails and live jazz with an "established" crowd. When making your reservation, take into account the time the sun sets, so you can enjoy the view from atop Mt. Adams --- you're paying for the whole experience, and the view is half the draw. Try for a window seat. While the restaurant prides itself on being a steakhouse with choices like the 18-ounce bone-in rib-eye, fresh seafood is always a focus. There's whole Maine lobster on a bed of littleneck clams, or pesto-broiled Chilean sea bass with sun-dried tomato risotto and balsamic glaze. "Alternative" choices round out the menu, with options such as smoked duck breast or Kobe beef gnocchi. Purists might go for the crème brûlée for dessert, but we recommend the house-made ice cream. Be sure to visit Incline Lounge, known as much for its scotch on the rocks as its swing on jazz nights. The wine cellar features more than 750 labels.
