This casual yet elegant Tuscan trattoria features a changing menu that draws a convivial crowd, as it has since the restaurant opened in 1983. Starters have included funghi misti (wild mushrooms served over arugula salad), grilled Italian chicory with smoked mozzarella, and filet mignon carpaccio; main courses of grilled Italian sausage with broccoli rabe, Florentine steak and osso buco, and calf’s liver sautéed with brown butter and sage; and tiramisu and homemade gelato for dessert. Order biscotti to dip into Vin Santo at the close of your meal. The exclusively Italian wine list is well-chosen, and the grappa selections invite tough decisions.
