Mastro's Steakhouse Restaurant Review:

When it comes to steaks, fine wine and professional service, you can’t do much better than Mastro’s. Carnivores will enjoy the Prime, hand-cut steaks seasoned with a dry rub and served on sizzling 400-degree plates. Be sure to arrive famished, because the portions are more than ample. The bone-in filet, with a choice of a 12- or 18-ounce cut, is a fine example of what this venue does best. A double-cut porterhouse, meanwhile, weighs in at 48 ounces and can easily be shared by three, if not four, people. Side the beef with mashed potatoes --- served family-style, their creamy, buttery texture is offset with chunks of lobster. Plenty of appetizers, salads, soups and seafood are available, too. Among desserts, we suggest the warm butter cake that lives up to its name. In addition to handcrafted cocktails, the wine list offers 500 labels and more than 50 varietals by the glass. Plan to bring home leftovers for the next day.
