Upstairs 2 offers innovative small plates, plus more than 40 wines by the glass. The global roster --- available in a 2.5-ounce tastes, full pours or carafes --- shows off the inventory of The Wine House downstairs, one of the Westside's leading retailers. There are many intriguing whites to pair with a crab and shiso summer roll, Stilton gougères, or pan-seared diver scallops. Rosé makes for an intriguing companion to fried chicken bao with pineapple Gochujang glaze, Napa cabbage and celery slaw. Meanwhile, grilled lamb porterhouse chop invites the pleasures of a full-bodied red. A decent cheese and charcuterie selection is available, too. In addition to the approachable menu, the dining room is smartly contemporary and the service is knowledgeable.
