: From the two-toned sea of marble floors at The Franklin Hotel at Independence Park, you step onto floral carpets and sink into Azalea’s high-backed upholstered chairs. Fresh flowers, low-lit chandeliers, and a view over the treetops of Independence Square add even more polish to the scene. The food is essentially American, with Asian touches, such as a wasabi cream sauce with seared ahi on a sesame cracker. Pasta dishes pair with shrimp and scallops, or vegetables. Pan-seared wild salmon with tiger shrimp, roasted corn, braised tomato and fennel salad with artichoke vinaigrette is representative of the menu's straightforward combinations with a twist. The wine list might intrigue, but the desserts will keep you there long after you've enjoyed an entrée. |
