Baba Yega, Houston, TX

Baba Yega Restaurant Review

: Baba Yega has been a Montrose stronghold for four decades. Located in a Victorian home that surrounds a garden featuring a century-old oak tree, fountains, a waterfall and a koi pond, it's an appropriate spot for parties, especially in the upstairs Jasmine Room, which overlooks the garden. Downstairs the bustling dining room features lunch and dinner and a weekend brunch with an omelet station and a waffle bar. During the week the menu is extensive and varied, with everything from vegan and vegetarian dishes to Tex-Mex. We recommend the huge salads, juicy grilled burgers and the 12-ounce rib-eye steak with a baked potato and sautéed vegetables. Ask about the daily specials, offered at lunch and on weekday evenings. For dessert, choose from house-made cakes such as tres leches and carrot cake. Beer and wine are available, as well as a full bar.
