Back Eddy Restaurant Review:
Located on the scenic Westport River, with plenty of deck seating to enjoy the view, the Back Eddy combines the casual air of a clam shack with the creative cuisine of a city seafooder. No wonder the long lines contain sandal-clad urbanites and locals alike. The menu offers plenty of the usual New England seafood, raw, steamed and fried, as well as the unusual (crispy fried bluefish) and unexpected dishes (Carolina-style pulled pork). Fancy up your meal with a glass of wine from nearby Westport Vineyards. Finish with the buttermilk cheesecake. Digestifs include sweet honey Lithuanian "krupnikas" as well as ports, single malts and bourbons. If the wait is too much, and it often is, hit the pub for quicker grub.
