Bandito's Burrito Lounge Restaurant Review:

Take one neon pink tortilla and fill it with a savory mix of refried beans and shredded pork, guacamole, roasted red peppers, tomatoes and onions, broil beneath a blanket of red ranchera sauce and cheese, and you have the specialty Bandito burrito. It is surely typical of the offbeat Mexi-Cali fare at this beer-soaked eatery (plus there’s plenty of tequila for a real party feel). There’s not much on the menu that doesn’t have a below-border theme --- except for the ubiquitous grilled chicken sandwich and burgers --- so don’t come hungering for down-home catfish or up-East chowders, though there are a few vegetarian options. If so inclined, ask for faco (a soy-free, all-natural meat alternative), as in faco nachos and a faco taco. And brunch rolls out standards like pancakes and french toast (okay, it is made with Texas toast) as well as chili rellenos with eggs. If you decide to venture into dessert, there could be flan or fried ice cream. What with a large posse of TVs, it’s popular (especially during sports events), drawing in a pretty mixed crowd of hard hats, good old boys and college kids, so obviously, anything goes here. (Park in the front lot, not the back.)
