![]() : When is a banh mi shop not a banh mi shop? When it’s also a jewelry shop. As is the case with this spot somewhere on that murky border between Chinatown and Little Italy. Certainly more people gravitate here for the Vietnamese sandwiches than to secure a new anklet or ring. And they should. The banh mi sandwiches are affordable and stuffed with fresh ingredients. While sandwiches come in chicken and veggie varieties, go for the classic banh mi --- slices of pork, pâté, carrots, jalapeños and cilantro --- and it will certainly cure your craving. There are also spring rolls and green papaya salads. |
