THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Barsac Brasserie Restaurant Review:

Offering the liveliness of a real brasserie, the romantic, dimly lit dining area is separated from the busy bar by floor-to-ceiling glass panels. The establishment caters to the movie industry crowd from nearby Universal Studios and offers a mix of French and Italian fare, both with contemporary California accents. Start with a martini, either cinnamon spice of guava. We like the ramekin of chicken liver mousse that arrives with the crusty bread. We recommend the eggplant confit tossed with garbanzo beans, olives, feta and yellow bell peppers in olive oil; the pan-fried baby salmon with roasted almonds in a beurre blanc; and the Georgia pork chop, smeared with Dijon mustard, grilled with cider and served with tri-colored orzo.
