: Alain Ducasse’s Tokyo restaurant is a must-visit even just for the sleek and sophisticated Peter Marino-designed interiors that created quite a stir when the establishment opened. This culinary collaboration with Chanel, atop the main Chanel store building in the heart of Ginza, has resulted in a suitably fashionable environment to see and be seen, and many female diners are dressed appropriately in the latest clothes from the brand. The food is okay, but so far we’ve never really had a meal we truly loved. In the beginning, there are interesting pairings like chicken with crayfish or basil ice cream with cherries, which rated more highly for creativity and shock value than flavor. However, the menu has recently returned to normal with such treats like Bresse chicken roasted with lemon butter and saddle of lamb rubbed with savory. |
