Part of a multi-million-dollar renovation of the Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa, BIN189 is an upscale dining room with spectacular views of the lake, fusing elegance with rusticity. With its white linen-clad tables, use of indigenous materials and expansive windows, this is among the best places in town to spend a few hours, perched on the lakefront. The venue also offers an expansive deck, adjoining lounge with grand stone fireplace and unique chandeliers (crafted from antlers) hanging over a copper-topped bar, and a wine room ideal for private feasts. The menu offers a number of spa-oriented dishes, but is dominated by comfort foods with sophisticated twists. A platter of Mediterranean-inspired meze is available to start, while entrées include braised short rib. You can find an interesting boutique wine from among the 200-label wine list featuring mostly California-produced bottles.
