THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bistro de l'Hermitage Restaurant Review:
With its cozy bar, chalkboard specials and long banquettes, this Culver City bistro feels like a slice of Parisian life. With the charm of a neighborhood bistro in an outlying arrondissement, l’Hermitage is the perfect antidote for those days when you’d rather be riding the Métro than fighting traffic on the 405. The food backs up this delightful illusion, with well-executed starters like foie gras terrine, a rustic pâté maison or charcuterie plate, and smoked trout salad. For entrées, the kitchen does a fine job with duck confit, rack of lamb and simple roasted chicken, followed by a nice selection of imported cheeses or sweets like tarte Tatin or chocolate ganache cake. This spot is convenient, too, for patrons of the neighboring Kirk Douglas Theater.
