Bloom Cafe Restaurant Review:

Bloom Café is a simple space, with concrete floors, naked wood tables and some art and photography on the white walls. Service is warm and friendly. All three meals are available here, but the emphasis is on the first of the day as eggs, waffles and pancake can be ordered until 4 p.m. Granola is homemade, eggs are organic and pancakes can be had plain with maple syrup or dressed up with chocolate chips, almonds and raisins or a lemon-ricotta mix. There's also a daily selection of fresh-baked items. Salads and sandwiches join the offerings in the middle of the day. And after 5 p.m., pizzas, pastas and main courses are available. Share one of the dozen thin-crusted pizzas---we like the lamb sausage with sweet peppers---as an appetizer before diving into entrées like linguini with Gorgonzola and walnuts, grass-fed rib-eye from Niman Ranch or an organic chicken breast crusted with fresh herbs and topped with a dollop of tapenade. Desserts range from fresh fruit tarts to a coconut-laced chocolate cheesecake. Juices and smoothies are available, but you'll have to bring your own wine. Good news is that there's no corkage fee, and they’ll supply the stemware.
