The Boathouse at Breach Inlet Restaurant Review:
Perched on the tip of a barrier island, this popular spot honors the sea with an abundant menu and décor created from repurposed wooden boats and fishing gear. Dolphin-spotting is a regular pastime for kids and the happy hour crowd is hooked on the rooftop bar with panoramic views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Competently prepared seafood is the star here, with several options for carnivores as well. A “fishboard” features the daily catch either grilled, roasted, seared, blackened or fried. Boathouse specialties include items like linguine and mussels, and combos such as sirloin and crab cake. Key lime pie is the signature dessert. Sunday brunch offers several variations on the eggs Benedict theme, big sandwiches, shrimp and grits, and a small selection of lighter breakfast dishes. The wine list is not thrilling, but does offer a few seafood-friendly selections.
