About the restaurant: It’s almost hard to believe you’re in the frenzy of the Disneyland Resort experience when you sit in this restaurant’s charming second-floor main dining room. Managed by Joachim Splichal’s Patina Restaurant Group, Catal Restaurant serves up dishes inspired by Spain and the Mediterranean.

Food & Drinks: The compact breakfast menu covers most tastes and time constraints through quick bites of toast and coffee or something more elegant, such as buttermilk pancakes with marinated berries or chilaquiles. Burgers, salads and sandwiches like the unique Cuban featuring thinly shaved porchetta and cherry honey sage jus await if you need a midday break from the park. At dinner, start with tapas, perhaps a selection of bacon-wrapped dates, crispy calamari or goat cheese-stuffed piquillo peppers. Entrées are hearty renditions of favorites like suckling pig, lobster paella or grilled steaks. Because this is Downtown Disney, there’s a special kids’ menu available, and servers are super friendly. Uva Bar & Cafe, located downstairs, is more of a scene than a culinary destination, and offers a tapas menu with Spanish-influenced soups, salads, sandwiches and seafood.
