![]() : Dark, sophisticated City Bar is the rare windowless room that really works, with a feel that’s equal parts Old and New Boston. Rich brown tones are offset by a striking bar back-lit by historic prints of the city. Whimsical cocktails like the Willy Wonka, and a number of unusual infusions, are tailor-made to match the extensive bar menu of homemade potato chips with spicy dipping sauce; margherita pizza; smoked mussel chowder; and a taco duo: grilled skirt steak and crispy chicken. Main courses feature pan-seared duck breast, goat cheese-stuffed portobello, steak frites and grilled Faroe Islands salmon, not to mention the massive City Table cheddar cheeseburger made with porterhouse, brisket and chuck served with a side of golden bistro fries. Chocolate lovers save room for the "fudgie wudgie" cake, while sweet tooth cravings are sated with a taste of the lighter Tahitian vanilla bean crème brûlée. |
