Clearman's Galley Restaurant Review:

Located next door to Clearman’s North Woods Inn, an old-fashioned steakhouse, this is a cavernous cafeteria-style eatery specializing in all-American burgers. Clearman’s Galley can be spotted by a large boat affixed to the façade, a mail service vessel launched in 1913 and made part of the décor when the original Galley opened in 1968. Now, after a major renovation, the place is probably the largest burger joint in SoCal, seating 300 patrons at long rough-hewn wooden tables (plus more on a patio). Most opt for the respectable old-school burgers, especially a sloppy version topped with chili sauce. Paying homage to the maritime décor is a decent fish ‘n’ chips and deep-fried shrimp. Before you leave, check out the impressive collection of wooden scale-model vessels, from schooners to riverboats to Spanish galleons.
