Dad's Kitchen Restaurant Review:
Dad's is a local's favorite for its no-nonsense menu, cold beer and come-as-you-are vibe. Despite its Food Network fame, it remains down to Earth. Don’t be fooled by its location within a strip mall --- the space is far from ordinary, with an expansive outdoor patio and separate taproom, both lined with retro advertising signs. The draw is two-fold: the beer, dozens of craft selections on tap and much of it brewed locally; and the food, down-home American classics. Starters include the house-made all-meat pork chili and fried garbanzo beans, while mains include a meatloaf sandwich, cheesesteak and the infamous Dad's burger, a blue cheese and bacon encrusted patty with aleppo pepper spread. Those not interested in busting a gut can opt for the portobello mushroom sandwich, veggie burger or black bean taco.
