Dave & Buster's Restaurant Review:
The aim of Dave and Buster, two Texans whose nationwide eating-drinking-gaming chain originated in 1982, is big fun. (Those under 18 are welcome at this massive establishment but only if accompanied by an adult.) The Midway’s games range from cutting-edge video simulations back through Ms. Pac-Man, and winners can trade earnings for carnival-type prizes. Cocktails also time travel, from classic cosmos to D&B’s signature TNT (vodka, gin, rum and Grand Marnier in a souvenir glass). Food is geared for wide appeal: pretzel dogs; loaded potato tots; jumbo chicken wings in Maker’s Mark barbecue sauce; Thai chicken chopped salad. Two entrées are less than 600 calories for the health-minded. Few diners let a grown-up responsibility keep them from eating a wedge of triple chocolate cake. Also located at Dolphin Mall, 11481 NW 12th St., Miami, 305-468-1555.
