Near the Paris Stock Exchange, Divinamente Italiano is a tantalizing Italian restaurant, presided over by sommelier Raffaella Petrillo, formerly of the Hilton in Rome. In a colorful and rococo setting, you can sip a drink at the bar before settling into a dark chair printed with red flowers. On the first Thursday of each month, a special menu is served for dinner at €80. Petrillo showcases wines of a particular region among the 120 selections in the cellar, which are matched with the dishes of Matteo Oggioni. This native Italian chef likes to innovate, with bold associations of tastes and refined seasonings. Depending on his inspiration, expect turnip purée with crispy oysters, quail with olives and fried broccolis in limoncello sauce, calf’s liver with caramelized onion in white wine, and preserved peach stuffed with chocolate and perfumed with Amaretto. Definitely not your average food, and furthermore an excellent value. Lunch menu at €28 and dinner menu at €57.
