Donut Friend, Los Angeles, CA

Donut Friend Restaurant Review

: Along the hipster block of York Boulevard in Highland Park is where you'll find this popular shop loaded with colorful, creative and vegan takes on the classic donut. Weekends (day or night) are usually jam-packed, but service is fairly fast as servers behind the glass display cases assemble your order. Along with endless create-it-yourself options, you can select from such eye-popping signatures as the Strawberrylab, a glazed donut filled with whipped cream and fresh strawberries; Husker Blu, a surprisingly moist cake that explodes with blueberry flavor; and the Panda Berry, a glazed donut topped with a tangy mixed berry glaze, white chocolate stripes and fresh blackberries. Donut holes, giant fritters and an assortment of drinks are also available (including complimentary filtered water).
