EJ Malloy's Restaurant Review:

This unassuming venue, tucked amongst the antique stores and retro boutiques of Long Beach’s underrated Bixby Knolls neighborhood, possesses the kind of character you’d want in a local public house. There’s a long, welcoming bar for patrons to enjoy local craft beer while they catch the game on a big-screen TV, and a cozy dining space allows chatter to flow freely without getting too loud. The food is as big a draw as the atmosphere, the menu loaded with tasty items a cut above typical pub fare, Irish or otherwise. Starters like corned beef, cheese and sauerkraut-stuffed Irish egg rolls and the ghost pepper and short rib poutine successfully demonstrate the kitchen’s creative bent. Traditional mains such as the crispy halibut fish ‘n’ chips and shepherd’s pie with IPA-braised ground beef are also well-executed. On the weekends, early risers might dig into an order of breakfast poutine or a traditional Irish breakfast.
