Elite Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Although elaborate dinners are served every night, the buzz about Elite is the dim sum, which is among the best in this suburban community rich in dim sum opportunities. Not as cavernous, flamboyant or deafening as some of the more famous Hong Kong-style seafood palaces specializing in dim sum, Elite is a more intimate experience and orders are delivered straight from the kitchen, as opposed to being plucked off of passing carts. Go with a group and sample crystal shrimp har gow, scallop dumplings, chicken feet, shiny sugar-glazed cha siu bao, and Elite’s standout shu mai. For dessert, the egg custard tarts are the local favorite. At night, an extensive seafood-heavy menu offers live Dungeness crab, Maine lobster, shrimp or exotic sea cucumber, while meats include stewed goose with abalone sauce, crispy-skinned duck, and even a whole suckling pig. Private rooms are available for multi-course banquets that can be paired with tea or wine.
