This warm and friendly Village spot has a lovely front patio for fine-weather dining. Inside, the dining room is sleekly elegant with some art-deco overtones. Start with thin strips of fried zucchini or an assortment of antipasti, move on to such hearty pastas as rigatoni with onions and prosciutto or gnocchi. Main courses might include osso buco, various fresh fish, and such traditional veal specialties as scaloppine baked with eggplant and mozzarella. The wine list could still use some work, though most of Italy is represented. Try the cheesecake for dessert.
