THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Farmicia Restaurant Review:

Kevin Klause (formerly of the White Dog Café), James Barrett and Wendy Smith Born of Metropolitan Bakery fame have fashioned a light, bright restaurant dedicated to serving good tasting food that utilizes local products. The emphasis is on fresh, seasonal ingredients. Salads are first-rate, especially the crabmeat and Asian pear in a lemon-mint dressing, and the beets and kale with veggie ricotta, roasted garlic and pistachios. Service can be uneven and some dishes sound better than they actually taste. But when flavor combinations work, as in the yellowfin tuna served with pineapple salsa, roasted sunchokes and basil aïoli, or the St. Peter’s fish with lemon butter and roasted potatoes, life is good. A selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes like roasted eggplant cannelloni and capellini with sautéed tofu could convert a carnivore.
