THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED G. Garvin's Restaurant Review:

After heading up the kitchen at Reign, Beverly Hills’ posh purveyor of soul food, Gerry Garvin opened this place of his own, where he turns out many of those familiar Southern classics, along with some more innovative, contemporary cuisine. The décor of the storefront eatery is stylishly spare, with supple suede banquettes and attractively appointed linen-clad tables. Some grumble that its lively vibe inhibits quiet conversation, but complaints about the cooking are few and far between. In addition to first-rate country staples like crab cakes, Texas-style baby back ribs and inspirational fried chicken (offered as a special), the chef’s sophisticated side is reflected by dishes such as veal chop in morel mushroom sauce, sautéed shrimp in tequila sauce and ravioli stuffed with goat cheese, chicken and shiitake mushrooms with a Chardonnay sauce. This is indeed a restaurant that satisfies a diversity of cravings.
