Global Cuisine is certainly what we call a best-kept secret. Located inside a movie studio, you cannot see it from the street. It is actually the commissary for the studio executives and actors, but it is also open to the public. You must have a reservation to enter the parking area that is located on Poinsettia Place and not Formosa Avenue (the official address). Whether you sit in the bright and spacious interior or outside under the trees, you will certainly enjoy the relaxed ambience. Booths and a private dining room are great for business and confidential lunches. Chef Gary Arabia likes to travel, and here prepares a world cuisine --- a little from everywhere, mixing the different products. We like his grilled portobello and asparagus salad, leg of lamb sandwich with au jus, crispy whole catfish with baby bok choy, and mushroom risotto. If you don't order the burger on your first visit, do so during the second one. To drink there’s passionfruit iced tea, beer and wine. One more important, winning detail: the prices. To enjoy more of Arabia's food outside the restaurant, trust his catering department --- actually his main activity --- which can accommodate all your needs from ten to thousands, anywhere in the U.S. (he will come himself with a team), in any manner or fashion you like.
